In this note we wish to pass along an example that we have found useful when introducing the concepts of conditional probability and Bayes' Rule to undergraduate students. The advantages of this example over more contrived textbook examples are its level of difficulty (not too simple, but not too difficult), and its ability to encompass several key probability concept sinto one problem while relating to everyday life.
